Human PBMCs were stained with either Purified Mouse Anti-Human CD14 primary antibody (#136-00043, blue histogram), or mouse IgG isotype control (gray histogram), followed by anti-mouse IgG/IgM AF 647 secondary antibody. Monocytes were gated.
Description
CD14, a 53-55 kD glycoprotein is expressed at high level on monocytes and macrophages, and at lower level at neutrophils, interfollicular macrophages, reticular dendritic cells and some Langerhans cells. CD14 is bacteria LPS receptor, and also acts as a co-receptor (along with the Toll-like receptor TLR 4 and plays a role in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens and modulates host immune response to those pathogens.
Recommended Usage
Each lot of antibody has been tested by flow cytometry staining. We suggest use ≤ 0.5 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume of staining buffer. Researchers are recommended to further titrate this antibody at the optimal concentration for each specific application.
Storage / Stability
Keep the lyophilized antibodies at -20 °C. Once reconstituted with PBS, store at 2 °C - 8 °C for less than 3 weeks or freeze at -20°C for long term storage. Please limit freeze and thaw cycles.
