Antibody Conjugation Services

RayBiotech offers custom conjugation, labeling, and purification services, providing high-quality conjugates to meet your research or commercial needs. Our range of labels includes oligonucleotides, fluorescent dyes, biotin, enzymes, and more, ensuring applicability for flow cytometry, western blot, IHC, immuno-PCR, PLA, multiplex imaging, and assay development. Whether you choose the antibody from our catalog or provide one to us, our team of experts will tailor a conjugation strategy to meet your specifications.

Oligonucleotide Conjugation & Purification

Conjugating antibodies to oligonucleotides provides a versatile approach to assay development, allowing excellent signal propagation with high efficiency. RayBiotech’s expert team utilizes high-yielding technologies for the quick and easy preparation of oligo-antibody conjugates. We will then perform a rigorous purification process to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the conjugated antibody which can then be used in a variety of applications.

Why You Should Choose RayBiotech for Oligo-antibody Conjugation and Purification?

  • No expert knowledge of difficult and time-consuming chemical modification techniques is needed – utilize our expertise.
  • We use FPLC purification to remove the excess oligo, reducing the background in downstream applications.
  • Typical lead time is 2-3 business days once all materials are available.
  • Optimization is available to maximize conjugation efficiency.
  • As a CRO service provider, RayBiotech can provide downstream validation tests or assay development for your conjugates.
Fluorescent-Labeling

Direct immunofluorescence with fluorescent-conjugated primary antibodies offers the benefits of reducing background staining, minimizing species cross-reactivity, and simplifying protocols. You can now leverage RayBiotech’s expertise in generating custom fluor-labeled antibodies. We can deliver your labeled antibodies in approximately 2 weeks, with over 17 fluors (e.g. FITC, APC, PE, Cy3, Cy5, Cy7, RayBright 700, RayBright 488, RayBright 780, and more). 200 µg minimum required; antibodies are provided carrier-free (BSA, KLH, azide).

Enzyme and Biotin-Labeling

Biotin and enzymes such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and alkaline phosphatase (AP) are widely used labels for ELISA, Western blot, IHC, and ELISpot applications. Chromogenic detection of analytes has the advantages of producing a longer-lasting signal, amplifying the detection signal, increasing the stability of the signal, as well as being compatible with light microscopy. RayBiotech offers a wide range of enzymes for antibody labeling. Take advantage of our high-quality, fast, and cost-effective antibody-enzyme labeling service today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions?

We provide several methods from gel electrophoresis, liquid chromatography and immune qPCR to validate the formation of conjugates. Consult with our support team and to determine the best option for you.

The actual recovery rate of the conjugates depends on each antibody and the conjugation efficiency. However, based on our experience, 100 µg of antibody generally produces 20-50 µg purified conjugate.

Yes, even with purification, there could still be a low amount of free oligo. The purification process is based on the negative charge of the oligo, which is present in both the conjugate and the free oligo, making it difficult to completely separate them.

Our process is designed to maximize the number of oligos conjugated to each antibody, to maximize the intensity of signal in downstream applications. Thus, the conjugation process includes a mixture of conjugates with different numbers of oligos to each antibody. Isolating a specific oligo-antibody number is possible but it will significantly reduce the recovery rate.

While this is dependent on the specific antibody and oligo, in our experience the conjugation process may not significantly affect the antibody activity in a downstream application.
