Colorimetric Activity Assay for Human Superoxide Dismutase

Right:Â Superoxide dismutase activity assay. The assay measures the decrease in superoxide anions generated by the enzyme xanthine oxidase. Superoxide anions interact with a tetrazolium dye, yielding color at 450 nm. The decrease in color signal is proportional to Sod1 (230-00587) inhibition activity.
