Easy-to-Use, but not specific enoughI used the RayBio Human G-CSF ELISA Kit recently to measure the amount of G-CSF in mouse serum samples. I chose this kit mainly because the standard curve was within the range of the protein levels typically seen in our samples. The kit was easy to use - everything was labeled clearly and the manual was very easy to follow and understand. The only downside of the procedure was that it was very long (~5 hours long). The only issue is that I do not think the kit was specific enough for human G-CSF. When I read the plate with our samples, there was some detection of G-CSF from the negative control that we ran, which is not supposed to happen. We think that that may be because it is detecting some mouse G-CSF within the sample. That being said, I will still definitely recommend this kit to those who are looking for human G-CSF detection in their samples.
