Great productI've been very pleased with this kit. Since it is somewhat difficult to bleed mice for this type of assay, I was very happy to find that 5 ul of plasma was perfectly adequate to generate a decent signal in the middle of the standard curve and allowed me to run duplicates. I also validated it in two groups of mice (n=6 each) placed on low and high salt diets to check for appropriate renin response. The kit very nicely measured the expected up- and down-regulation of renin from the same mice fed normal chow. Sensitivity and reproducibility are good and the instructions provided were very clear.

Great productI have used a couple of the kits so far, and pretty much satisfied with my results. But one of the problems I found was that I could never get the high concentration points (i.e. 50000pg/ml or 12500pg/ml) on the Standard Curve as your manual indicated, the machine was simply saturated. Also, I wish some of the reagents could last longer, not just for 5-7 days.on
