Phosphorylation Arrays

Phosphorylation arrays are rapid, convenient and sensitive assays for simultaneous detection of multiple protein phosphorylations. By monitoring the changes in protein phosphorylation in your experimental model system, you can verify pathway activation in your cell lines without spending excess time and effort in performing an analysis of immunoprecipitation and/or Western Blot.

The phosphorylation arrays utilize the sandwich-based design principle with antibodies immobilized on glass, membrane, or beads. After a blocking step, samples are incubated. Nonspecific proteins are then washed off, and the arrays are incubated with detection antibodies, enabling chemiluminescent or fluorescent analysis. Signal intensity is proportional to the amount of protein bound by the antibodies. By spotting or labeling different antibodies in an addressable format, multiplex protein identification is simple.
